Founded in 2015 by OPRF and Fenwick varsity coaches, East Ave creates a fun and engaging experience that will help your child develop a love for the sport. First-time players and experienced veterans alike will greatly increase their knowledge of the game, advance their individual skills, and have a great time with their new friends. No experience necessary! Players will be divided by age, and each team will play 6-8 games, weather permitting. Playing time in games will be competitive, but balanced. Advanced players will also be eligible to play in tournaments through East Ave Lacrosse at an additional fee. East Ave provides free equipment rental (stick, gloves, helmet, shoulder pads, and elbow pads) for first-time players. Please email eastavelacrosse@gmail. com for more information. Equipment requests may take up to two weeks to accommodate, so please register early! All participants are required to have a helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pad, athletic cup, and mouth guard. • Sundays will take place at Ridgeland Common in Oak Park, 1:30-4:30P • Wednesdays will take place at Keystone Park in River Forest, 6:00-8:30P • Saturdays will take place at Julian Middle School in Oak Park, 9:00A-12:00P Min 8/Max 50 IGLA Girls' Lacrosse Supervisor: Dan Schaffer Be part of a youth lacrosse league exclusively for girls. e emphasis of this program is to develop girls within the sport of lacrosse. IGLA has adopted the US Lacrosse "PLAYERS FIRST" ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT MODEL which means smaller fields and a smaller number of players. Min 8/Max 50 IGLA offers two levels of league play: Pink and Purple Both are recreational, community lacrosse. Pink teams practice once a week. Purple teams practice twice a week and may travel more for games. Equipment A stick, hard ball, goggles and mouth guard required. League Practice Schedule (weekdays): • PINK8U and 10U weekday practices are 60 minutes from 6:00-7:00P on ursdays • 12U and 14U weekday practices are 75 minutes from 6:00-7:15P on ursdays • PURPLE10U weekday practices are 60 minutes from 6:00-7:00P on Tuesdays and ursdays • 12U and 14U weekday practices are 75 minutes from 6:00-7:15P on Tuesdays and ursdays Tuesday Practices will take place at Lindberg Park in Oak Park. ursday Practices will take place in River Forest. Join IGLA this spring for a weekly one hour clinic for the younger lacrosse player. ese clinics are exclusively for girls in Kindergarten through 1st grade that want to learn the Fundamentals of lacrosse. Each class will include a 30 minute practice and 30 minute scrimmage game. e goal of this program is to introduce and develop basic skills for our youngest players using fun games and coaching techniques.
