During this floral workshop you will learn the ins and outs of floral design. Enjoy a glass of wine while you learn the skills to create your own unique and beautiful floral arrangements. Min 8/Max 15 Green Cleaning Supervisor: Leah Pryor Too scared to read the labels on your cleaning products because you know what's lurking in them? Join us for a green cleaning workshop to learn how to clean your entire house with a few simple ingredients. Learn why green cleaners are better for your health and the environment! Each participant will leave with a starter green cleaning kit to kick start your Fall Cleaning! Min 6/Max 15 Worm Composting 101 Supervisor: Leah Pryor Everyone can compost food scraps with the help of a worm compost bin. Clean, odorless indoor composting can take care of all your kitchen scraps year round. And if you do not have a garden for the compost, your houseplants will love it. We will discuss the science of composting with worms, the do's and don'ts and create a small bin stocked with worms to take home. Min 6/Max 15 Pressed Flower Creations Supervisor: Leah Pryor Be inspired by the natural beauty of flowers to make your own artful creations out of preserved pressed flowers. Learn how to preserve and press your own flowers at home then let the natural objects be your muse as you sip on a glass of wine and create your own floral art. Min 6/Max 15 Austin Gardens Book Club Supervisor: Leah Pryor Join us for the third session of the Austin Gardens book club as we discuss Aldo Leopold's classic work "A Sand County Almanac". Considered by many to be the father of wildlife ecology, Leopold's passion for the natural world and poetic prose will truly inspire you. June- Part 1, July- Part 2, August- Parts 3 & 4.
