25 www.pdop.org AdultTrips (50+) Candide at Music Theater Works Friday, June 2 Supervisor: Rhonda Connor Enjoy a madcap circus of a show when you watch one of Leonard Bernstein's great musicals, Candide, at Chan eater in Evanston. e show (2:00P start time) overflows with wonderful Bernstein songs like Glitter and Be Gay, e Best of All Possible Worlds and Make Our Garden along with the famous Candide overture. Prior to boarding the bus for the show, we will enjoy a light lunch at e Little Gem Café here in Oak Park. Ticket, transportation, and lunch included. Min 10/Max 26 Chicago Botanic Gardens ursday, June 8 Supervisor: Rhonda Connor e Botanic Gardens boast 26 gardens and four natural areas uniquely situated on and around nine islands, with six miles of lake shoreline. Enjoy the Grand Tram Tour lasting approximately 35 minutes. Transportation and tram tour included. Min 10/Max 26 Grant Park Music Fest Opening Night: Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto Wednesday, June 14 Supervisor: Rhonda Connor Board the bus for an outing under the stars and skyline at Millennium Park to enjoy world class musical performances. Bring a picnic, snack, drinks, and a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the sounds. e music plays 6:30-8:00P, with the remainder of the time designated for finding the perfect spot, enjoying one another's company, and snacking! Min 10/Max 26 Milwaukee's Polish Fest Friday, June 16 Supervisor: Rhonda Connor Polish Fest has a wide range of both Polish favorites and over 30 different vendors providing foods for all taste buds. Come to the Cultural Village at Polish Fest for immersion into Polish culture and history. Filled by over forty different vendors, our Sukiennice Marketplace gives you a chance to buy Polish items to take home with you. Explore the market and discover everything from traditional Polish toys for children to a new piece of pottery. Tickets and transportation included.
