Saturday classes can be filled with this combo
class offering dance and skating! Participants
will start with a Creative Movement dance
class from 10:50am-11:10am. ey then
transition to Snowplow Sam 1 class from
11:20am-12pm. Both classes will help
children learn how to control and use their
bodies, relate to other children and express
themselves through introductory skill work in
dance and skating.

Advanced Jump & Spin
Ages 6-18
Supervisor: Kayla Fauria
Prerequisite: Participants must receive passing
permission from the Skate Academy Coordinator
prior to entering this level. Building from the
previous level, Advance Jump and Spin will develop
double jumps and advanced spinning including
flying camel and flying sit spin, illusions, continuous
walleys, rockers and counters pattern. e first 10
minutes of class will be a warm-up and edge class.

Tackle That Axel
Ages 6-18
Supervisor: Kayla Fauria
Prerequisite: Skaters must be currently enrolled in
Free Skate 6 and up to enroll for this class. One of
the most difficult jumps to master is the Axel Jump.
is class gives skaters the opportunity to focus on
this jump and work closely with the instructor on
the key elements necessary to achieving this jump.

Ready to add a team element to skating?
Synchronized skating is a large and fast-
growing discipline of figure skating where skaters
perform on ice as a team, moving as one flowing
unit at high speeds. Give synchronized skating a
try. is class will teach the basics of the sport and
incorporate skills learned in other classes into the
group setting. is program is for participants that
have passed Basic 2 and up that are 6-18 years old.
ese workshops will give skaters a taste of what
being on a syncro team is all about.

Adult Beginner/Intermediate
Ages 16+
Supervisor: Kayla Fauria
e adult beginner class is
designed for the adult new to
skating. It promotes physical fitness and improved
balance and coordination while teaching proper
skating techniques. is level introduces skating by
developing falling and recovery, forward marching,
forward glides and forward swizzles, snowplow
stops, two foot turns and gliding into dips.
