A different medium and topic will be the focus of each workshop. Material exploration in addition to guided instruction will make up each workshop. Wall worthy artwork will be created in each: June 24 - Splatter Art inspired by Andy Warhol Use balloons filled with paint, fly swatters, and spray bottles to create your splatter art in this one day workshop. Dress for mess as we will be outside expanding our workshop in this larger than life art activity. July 22 - Shadow Art Bring some of your favorite objects from home or use what the instructor provides to create a shadow piece. Weather permitting we will be outside designing our canvases for this one day workshop that will explore light, shadow, and creativity. August 12 - Zen DOODLES DOODLE your way through this one day workshop. Artists will learn about zentangles, patterns, and design. ey will use pencil and sharpies to create a pattern-filled object of their choice. Min 6/Max 12 Family Art Night Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Enjoy family time being creative, busy, and ... of course together! Registration includes two family members. All supplies included. Each additional family member is $5. Each family art night will consist of 1-2 projects around the planned theme as well as a snack and extension activities, should you have quick artists among your family! Friday, June 9 - Fingerprint Garden Family members will work to create a wild flower garden out of their fingerprints, with each family's being unique to them! Perfect for a summer decoration or gi for someone special. Viola Project Summer Camps Oak Park Festival eatre offers three one-week camps in Austin Gardens. In cooperation with the Viola Project, the camps provide a space for girls ages 10-16 to explore classic texts while engaging in vibrant discussion of contemporary issues facing girls and women.
