Join us for an evening or aernoon of wheel techniques, discovery, and exploration as you experience the Park District's ceramic studio at Dole Center. Come ready to get messy and learn the basics. Please note there are no take home projects in this class, as it is purely an exploration workshop. Space is limited . . . sign up with friends today! Min 2/Max 3 Adult Ceramics Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Get creative and express yourself in this fun-filled program that will focus on basic wheel throwing and hand building techniques. e teacher will provide instruction each week along with ideas for projects you can individualize: tiles, mugs, bowls, teapots, and more. Continuing students are encouraged to register and use this class to enhance their skills. Clay, glazes, and firing are included in the fee. Depending on where your creativity takes you, class time allows for both wheel throwing and hand building opportunities. Please note the studio only has 6 wheels for use during class hours. All skill levels welcome. Min 4/Max 6 Class does not meet: 11/22; 11/23 Need more time to get your ceramics projects done? Current students can drop in during Open Studio times from 5:00-9:00P on Fridays, Sept. 29, Oct. 27, Nov. 17, and Dec. 15. No need to sign up. Stained Glass Supervisor: Amanda Heiman is course introduces you to the basics of stained glass from safety to design to hands-on craing. e instructor will work with individual students as they fashion the perfect piece from start to finish for their home, office or special someone! All skill levels welcome! If you have taken another stained glass course in previous seasons, no problem! e instructor will accommodate your skill level and work with you to design, develop, and create something new and more challenging this time around! $25 materials fee is included in the price of the class to cover the cost of glass, equipment, and tools. If you have taken this class before, you will receive a $25 materials fee credit to your Park District household account - please contact Amanda Heiman at amanda.heiman@pdop.org to obtain your returning student credit. Min 5/Max 15 Drawing Supervisor: Amanda Heiman If you love to draw and want to join a group of your peers, where professional support and guidance is provided . . . than this is the class for you! All materials will be provided and we welcome all skill levels. Spend an evening distraction free, drawing! Min 6/Max 12 Painting Supervisor: Amanda Heiman is 6-week course will get you excited about painting with acrylics. Abstract to realistic . . . landscape to portrait . . . the instructor will work with each student's interests to provide projects and support in creating wall worthy masterpieces. ALL skill levels welcome! Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/23 Fall into Fashion Supervisor: Amanda Heiman It's time to clean your closet of those items you hold on to thinking ... "I swear I will wear it again!" and let someone else enjoy them! Bring 10 fashion items from your closet - shirts, pants, jewelry, scarves, etc. - to exchange for new ones at this season's fashion fix. Encourage your friends to sign up, wine & hors d'oeuvres will be served; the more that attend the more to add to your wardrobe this fall season. All le over clothing items will be donated. Enjoy a ladies night out! You are encouraged to drop off your fashion items ursday (10/5) between 6-9PM at Cheney Mansion, so items can be set up for browsing prior to the event! Items will be accepted Friday. Should you be bringing items the day of, please arrive at 6:30PM to allow time to set up prior to the 7PM start time.
