If you are ready to release the tensions that are holding you tight, then open your mind and try something new! is class will combine e Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education and Tai Chi to help you experiment with your body movement to feel more flexible, whole, and connected. Taught through sitting, standing, and lying down guided-movement lessons, participants will learn to increase flexibility, decrease lower back strain, and improve effortless posture throughout daily activities. Within the postures are martial art aspects that are largely hidden. Class begins with QiGong sets and then moves on to emphasize the 24 posture Beijing style (Yang short form). is class is oen taken on a continuing basis as a lifestyle endeavor. Min 6/Max 20 Women's Self Defense Supervisor: Chad Drue Participants will learn the utilization of simple movement techniques, conditioning and focusing to escape from an assailant and render them tem- porarily disabled. e program concentrates on a repetitive defense approach that can be understood and utilized by most women. You will learn basic punching, blocking and kicking techniques, break- ing from one or two hand hold. You will also learn how to tap into your natural power source, control fear and adrenaline, setting verbal and physical boundaries and more!
