Lap swim will be offered Sunday mornings using
the Oak Park River Forest High School pool. is
is an opportunity for lap swim – no instruction
is offered. Admission is not available at the
door; you must purchase a pass in advance for
admission either online or in person at RCRC or
GRC. e pool will be divided into slow, medium
and fast lanes. Access to the pool is through
'athletic doors' off Scoville Avenue.

Adult Beginning Fencing
Supervisor: Chad Drue
En garde! Diana Unger, a certified coach with the
United States Fencing Association with more than
25 years of fencing experience, will teach you
the basics of fencing. Fencing requires patience,
concentration, discipline, and self-awareness.
Self-confidence, self-control, and emotional
strength gained from this sport will lead to a
healthier lifestyle. Weapons, jackets, and masks
will be provided and shared among classmates.
*Participants must obtain a $10 US Fencing
membership prior to 1st day of class (www.
usafencing.org). Participants must also bring a
glove for the hand they write with. It does not have
to be a fencing glove.

Dust off your sneakers, it's time for some hoops!
Practice your jump shot as teams will be formed
each program night playing games on a rotating
basis. Open play only, no instruction is given.
Children are not allowed in the facility.

Adult Swimming Beginner
Supervisor: Kayla Fauria
Adult beginner class is for anyone age 14+ who
has little experience swimming. You will learn the
basics of swimming including floating, kicking,
freestyle and backstroke.

Adult Gymnastics (18+)
Supervisor: Jamie Lapke
is is a co-ed instructional class for adults who are
interested in learning gymnastics or maintaining
their gymnastics skills. Time will be spent on
gymnastics equipment as well as strength training
and stretching. Classes are 1 hour, 20 minutes.
Regular gymnastics cancellation policy applies.
To enroll in this class, you must be 18 years old by
January 14, 2018.

Adult Pickleball
Supervisor: Chad Drue
What is the fastest growing sport in the U.S.A? It's
PICKLEBALL. Pickleball is a paddle sport which
combines elements of badminton, tennis, and
table tennis. Pickleball can be played on a tennis
court with the dimensions of a badminton court
and a lowered net. It is played with a perforated
plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood
or composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to
learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced,
competitive game for experienced players. Players
will play pick-up games on a rotating basis.
Equipment will be provided by the Park District.

Winter Co-ed Volleyball League
Supervisor: Chad Drue
Competitive volleyball is back! Six teams rotate and
play two matches a night using two nets. e teams
waiting in rotation must score, officiate and record
the games in play. Ten week regular season games
plus playoffs. All teams advance to playoffs.
