Set? Go, Go, Go! It's time to get in a car, row the boat, and ride the rails as we explore all kinds of movement in this transportation-themed unit. We'll delve into the concept of up and down, have fun with tempo changes, and enjoy bumpy bounces and the challenge of stop-and-go games. We'll also have a boatload of fun-and learning-as we sing, dance, and play instruments, chug like a train and beep like cars. So buckle up, here we go! Enrollment provides access to digital materials and a CD of the songs used in the class. Child must be accompanied by adult. Min 4/Max 12 Music and Movement Supervisor: Barb Grooms Participants will enjoy moving to the beat as they get their heart rate up with large muscle movements including marching, jumping, and running. Parachute play will add to the fun as they learn how to control their movements in space through active songs and games. Let's move it! Min 5/Max 10 Transportation Station Supervisor: Barb Grooms Varoom, zoom, boom! is program will allow your child to learn about different modes of transportation by building and exploring the sea, sky, road, and walkways! Participants will join with friends as they sing and play along the way. Min 5/Max 10 Pizza, Project & Play Supervisor: Barb Grooms Enjoy a Friday by letting us entertain your children at our Indoor Playground. Each themed evening will include a pizza dinner, a fun take-home project, and play time with friends, while you get some much deserved time to yourself. Don't miss out on the fun for both guardians and kids! Min 5/Max 15 Little Actors: Puppets Supervisor: Barb Grooms e stage is calling… and we have a way to answer! Each Wednesday for 6 weeks your little performer will use their creative skills to use, design and create a variety of puppets. ey will take on different roles, and develop flexible thinking, communication and cooperation skills while acting. e possibilities are endless! Min 5/Max 10 Little Actors In Action Supervisor: Barb Grooms Does your child like to take the stage? Are they always singing, dancing, twirling, or pretending? Well, send them to us each Wednesday! In this course your little actor will take on different roles from stage crew to set designer to thespian. e final curtain call will take place the last week of class! Sign up to be a part of your first little theater experience with the Park District today. Min 5/Max 10 Measure, Test & Pour Supervisor: Barb Grooms is is the perfect 6-week class for your little scientist. Each week participants will use their senses to experiment with everyday items such as water, sugar, eggs, and ping pong balls. ey may write secret messages with invisible ink or bend straws with water; experiments equal excitement! Your child is sure to come home amazed, and also amaze you, by what they've learned with Science! Min 5/Max 10 Fun-gineering Supervisor: Barb Grooms With simple machines in mind, we'll learn the mechanical engineering concepts behind levers, gears, pulleys, and more. Each week we will build a new project incorporating one of these. Master building skills, while improving fine motor skills, and having fun with friends!
