Register for this program that will take place at Ascension gym. A gym supervisor will organize game play; no instruction will be given. You must register in advance to participate. No drop-ins. Min 8/Max 16 Adult Fencing Supervisor: Chad Drue Learn the basic principles of foil fencing. e quickness and athleticism of the sport will lead to a healthier lifestyle. Fencing can boost confidence, improve self-control, and increase emotional strength. Weapons, jackets, and masks will be provided and shared among classmates. Diana Unger is a certified coach with the U.S. Fencing Association with over 30 years of experience. Min 4/Max 10 Class does not meet: 7/5 Fall Outdoor Co-rec Soccer Supervisor: Chad Drue is adult recreational league emphasizes fun and participation. Teams will play an eight game schedule. We will attempt to place all teams registering but they will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Games to be announced, will be played primarily at the new synthetic surfaced fields at Ridgeland Common, Oak Park and River Forest High School and Forest Park Park District. Registration begins Monday, June 11. Season may end early based on number of rainouts. Min 4/Max 6 (7-on-7 fall league) Min 8/Max 19 (11-on-11 fall league) Min 3/Max 4 (7-on-7 summer league) Class does not meet: 9/2 Women's Self Defense Supervisor: Chad Drue is program will utilize simple movement techniques, conditioning and focusing to escape from an assailant and render them temporarily disabled. e program concentrates on a repetitive defense approach that can be understood and utilized by most women. You will learn basic punching, blocking and kicking techniques, breaking from one or two hand hold. You will also learn how to tap into your natural power source, control fear and adrenaline, setting verbal and physical boundaries and more! Min 6/Max 16 Class does not meet: 7/3, 7/5 Open Gym Basketball AT FENWICK H.S.! See page 81 for times and days. Adult Pickleball Mixed Doubles League Supervisor: Chad Drue is summer participate in our new adult mixed doubles pickle ball league. e league will run 6 weeks with 3 games per week per team. e park district will provide balls.
