76 www.pdop.org Middle School/Teens Teen Cooking Class Supervisor: Joe Lilly Savory, Sweet, and everything in between! Learn basic cooking skills and techniques that every great chef needs to know! Prepare a sophisticated dinner and dessert in the first two hours and eat it for the last half hour! Recipes will go home with every teen chef so you can keep practicing! If your child has allergies or dietary restrictions, we ask that you contact the program supervisor prior to the workshop so instructors can try to make reasonable accommodations. Safe Sitter prepares students to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who is choking, and helpful information like what to do if there is severe weather. e lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. A pizza lunch is included! Safe sitter course content includes: Safety Skills: Students learn how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Child Care Skills: Students learn tips to manage behavior that will help them stay in control of themselves and the children in their care. Students also learn the ages and stages of child development, as well as practice diapering. Life & Business Skills: e ability to screen jobs, discuss fees, and greet employers will set students up for success now and in the future. Students practice these skills through various role plays. Min 5/Max 15 D&D Adventures Supervisor: Peter Hanneman Explore dungeons, battle monsters, find treasure! D&D Adventures will teach the ins and outs of tabletop role playing. Create characters, learn the rules and embark on an adventure that will fill the day with adventure and imagination.
