Hands-on activities led by our garden docents outside in our Discovery Garden. Learn about native Illinois ecosystems and have fun playing in the garden! Topics include: JUNE: Sound Exploration We will explore many ways to make garden music through drumming, rhythm sticks, and a sound wall. JULY: Water Play Water wheels, pouring play, water flow wall with hoses, tubes and cogs and an Archimedes screw will be in the garden to play. AUGUST: Fossils Find the fossils buried in the play area, sort real fossils and create your own fossils.
