Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading and more. Tricks are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided, each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are taught each session! If so, this program is the perfect space for your young architect or city planner to sharpen their design and building skills! In this workshop, students will learn about the importance of collaboration, careful planning, and skillful execution of their building plans. By taking the time to brainstorm and develop purposeful designs to complete challenges, students will learn the importance of going into a project with a basic understanding of the objectives and developing a common, achievable goal. Is there a game they just can't seem to get enough of ? In this Snapology workshop, kids will explore their favorite Roblox adventures by using LEGO® bricks and creating interactive games! From designing an Obby to building a 3-D character skin, kids will be fully immersed in the gameplay and game design of Roblox! Snapology's A Universe of Stories Space Science program helps children explore the fundamental aspects of astronomy while creatively designing their own physical contributions to this field of study. Our programs work to cultivate a deep love for science and exploration by making science fun, exciting, and approachable for all learners at all levels of interest! Ages 5-12 Res Fee $50 - Fee $67 Location: Andersen Center Supervisor: Megan Ulczak Escape Snapology Tuesday, Mar 15, 1:00-4:00P In this workshop, students and their team will have 45 minutes to discover clues, solve puzzles, answer riddles, and manipulate contraptions to complete the assigned tasks to ultimately unlock the box to escape Snapology! Using math and critical thinking skills, students will be required to work together to succeed in escaping Snapology. Ages 5-12 Res Fee $50 - Fee $67 Location: Andersen Center Supervisor: Megan Ulczak Chess Scholars Tuesdays, Feb 1-Mar 8, 6:30-7:30P Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.
