Ages 11-17 Res Fee $13 - Fee $18 Location: Field Center TEEN ADVENTURE TRIPS Gone Fishin' at the Forest Preserves Tuesday, Apr 4, 9:30A-2:30P ursday, Aug 17, 9:30A-2:30P Grab your lines, grab your poles! We're going fishing at the DuPage County Forest Preserves! Our ranger friends will lead us through the process, and we'll see what we can catch! Both experienced fisherfolk and beginners are welcome. All gear is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Ages 11-17 Res Fee $30 - Fee $39 Location: Field Center Taking the Shot at Blackwell Forest Preserve Friday, Apr 7, 9:30A-4:30P Calling all future Robin Hoods, Katnisses, and Hawkeyes! We're nocking our arrows and taking aim over at Blackwell Forest preserve as we learn the amazing sport of archery. Beginners and experienced archers are welcome. All equipment provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Can you hit the bullseye? Ages 11-17 Res Fee $45 - Fee $58 Location: Field Center Rock Climbing at Iron Oaks Monday, Aug 14, 9:00A-3:30P Strap in and get belaying – we're going rock climbing! Join us for a trip to Iron Oaks Adventure Center, where we'll scale their 40-foot climbing tower and strategize to try and reach the top! Ages 12-17 Res Fee $65 - Fee $85 Location: Field Center Herrick Lake Kayaking Tuesday, Aug 15, 9:00A-3:30P Paddle on up to Herrick Lake! We're taking some kayaks around the lake and enjoying a day out on the water. Aer, we'll steady our sea legs by hiking around the forest preserve. All ranges of ability are welcome, from beginners to experienced kayakers. Ages 11-17 Res Fee $50 - Fee $67 Location: Field Center Wild Animal Encounters at the Cosley Zoo Friday, Aug 18, 9:00A-3:30P is is more than your standard visit to the zoo – we're getting up close and personal with some amazing wild animals and seeing what makes them who they are. And yes, you can touch them! Aerward, we'll explore the zoo and see our other favorite creatures. Ages 11-17 Res Fee $38 - Fee $51 Location: Field Center Beach & Bog Exploration at Indiana Dunes National Park Monday, Aug 21, 9:00A-3:30P We're exploring the wild and weird today at Indiana Dunes! Join us for a hike in the world of carnivorous plants at Pinhook Bog, take a dive into the sandy expanse of West Beach, and discover how the dunes came to be. Ages 11-17 Res Fee $30 - Fee $39 Location: Field Center Iron Oaks High Ropes Course Tuesday, Aug 22, 9:00-3:30P Can we squeeze in one more adventure before school starts? You bet! is time, we're challenging ourselves on the high ropes course at Iron Oaks! We'll work with partners to climb through the tree canopy – 30 feet off the ground! Ages 12-17 Res Fee $65 - Fee $85 Location: Field Center SPECIAL EVENTS Oak Park Summer Campout Saturday, Jul 8, 6:00P - Sunday, Jul 9, 9:00A Get an introduction to camping at a site close to home! Start the evening with a campfire dinner, search the stars with a telescope, listen to stories around the fire, and more! Fee is for two people with one tent and includes dinner, s'mores, and breakfast. All Ages Res Fee $50 - Fee $67 Location: Field Center Starved Rock Day Trip Saturday, Aug 19, 8:00A-4:30P We're spending our summer days with adventure on the brain! Join us for a trip to Starved Rock State Park for a day of hiking and picnicking among the trees. Transportation provided. Hikers under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
