New! Intro to the Ice
Supervisor: Kyle Sandine
Trying something new is scary. Be it riding a bike
without the training wheels, riding your first big
roller coaster, it is all a bit daunting. At the Paul
Hruby Ice Arena we want to help your skater have
their first experience skating on their own in a
comfortable setting. Curriculum is very basic and
it is intended to teach kids how to properly fall, get
up on the ice, find their balancing point, and help
them maneuver on their own before moving into
structured skating practices.
Equipment Required: Skates (No double runners),
Helmet (Bike or Hockey), Knee Pads, Gloves (Winter
or Hockey), and Elbow Pads.
