65 www.pdop.org Dance for Grownups! We offer Adult Ballet, Latin Ballroom, and Ballroom Dancing and Baby Wearing Ballet! See "Adult Fine Arts" on page 22-23 for more information on adult dance programs at the Park District of Oak Park! Dance Parties at the PDOP Looking for a fun party idea? The Park District is now hosting dance parties! We will supply dance games, music, and a choreographed routine to teach to all the party goers. You and all your friends will dominate the dance floor! Looking for something more mature? We can do bachelorette parties too! Dates and times are flexible based on your schedule. Prices vary based on number of people. Youth Fine Arts Ballet & Jazz Supervisor: Laura Greeley Using ballet as a foundation for this class, dancers will work on basic ballet movements, positions, and technique. Students will learn basic jazz skills and technique by referring to the methods learned in ballet. Lessons will include different ways for children to coordinate their bodies while dancing to different kinds of music and rhythms. is class will consist of 45 minutes of ballet and 45 minutes of jazz. is way, students can be better exposed to both dance styles. Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/24 Advanced Ballet & Jazz Supervisor: Laura Greeley Dancers will continue to learn the art of ballet and jazz by furthering their technique and skills. Children will develop a sense of musicality and style in their dancing. is is a great way to continue in the dance world and teach young dancers poise, confidence, and character. is class will consist of 45 minutes of ballet and 45 minutes of jazz. is way, students can be better exposed to both dance styles. Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/24 Dance & Skate Supervisor: Laura Greeley Saturday mornings can be filled with this new combo class offering- dance and skating! Participants will start with a Creative Movement class from 9:20-10:10am. Aer class students will take a Snowplow Sam 1 class from 10:30-11:00am. Both classes will help children learn how to control and use their bodies, relate to other children and express themselves through introductory skill work in dance and skating. Min 6/Max 12 Class does not meet: 11/26 Choreography for Beginners Supervisor: Laura Greeley is new class is an exciting way for teens to get involved with dance! Dancers will spend part of the class warming up and learning contemporary dance techniques and will treat the rest of the class as a choreography workshop. Dancers will learn choreography from their instructor but they will also be involved in the creative process by designing their own choreography.
