Choose to paint, sketch, charcoal, or pastel our set still life arrangement. You will learn basic techniques for choosing your composition, zooming in or panning out . . . as you create a masterpiece worthy of hanging on any wall! Min 8/Max 12 Nature Canvas & Wine (21+) Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Spend an evening at Austin Gardens with your favorite medium and a glass of wine! Your instructor will create a natural still life setup for you to paint from, as you learn basic techniques. e instructor will help you transfer what you see to your canvas. All materials provided. Min 8/Max 12 Fashion Fix: Spring Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Spring clean your closet of those items you hold on to thinking ... "I swear I will wear it again!" and let someone else enjoy them! Bring 10 fashion items from your closet - shirts, pants, jewelry, scarves, etc. - to exchange for new ones at this season's fashion fi x. Encourage your friends to sign up, wine & hor d'oeuvres will be served; the more that attend the more to add to your wardrobe this spring season. All le over clothing items will be donated. Enjoy a ladies night out! You are encouraged to drop off your fashion items ursday (4/13) between 6:00- 9:00P at Cheney Mansion, so items can be set up for browsing prior to the event! Items will be accepted Friday. If you bring items the day of, please arrive at 6:30P to allow time to set up prior to the 7:00P start time. Pre-registration: $12 Res/$15 NR Day of / At-the-door: $15 Res/$18 NR Beginner Stained Glass Supervisor: Amanda Heiman is is a beginner course to introduce you to the basics of stained glass from safety to design to hands-on cra ing. e instructor will work with individual students as they fashion the perfect piece from start to fi nish for their home, offi ce or special someone! $25 materials fee is included in the price of the class to cover the cost of glass, equipment, and tools. If you have taken another stained glass course in previous seasons, no problem! e instructor will accommodate your skill level and work with you to design, develop, and create something new and more challenging this time around! Min 5/Max 15 Stained Glass Design: Frank Lloyd Wright Style Supervisor: Amanda Heiman In this design course pieces will be inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. A brief discussion of the design elements found in Frank Lloyd Wright's work will kick off this design class. Safety, layout and hands-on cra ing will cover the remainder of the course. e instructor will work with individual students as they fashion the perfect piece from start to fi nish for their home, offi ce or special someone! All skill levels welcome. $25 materials fee is included in the price of the class to cover the cost of glass, equipment, and tools. If you have taken another stained glass course in previous seasons, no problem! e instructor will accommodate your skill level and work with you to design, develop, and create something new and more challenging this time around! Min 5/Max 15 Spring Obsession! Supervisor: Susan Crane Join the Chefs of Food Obsession in the Cheney kitchen as Spring arrives and thoughts of spring ingredients, healthy eating and great company wake you from your winter slumber. is program encompasses the basics of planning and preparation for seasonal and healthy dishes as warm weather approaches. You will work hands-on with the Chef to compose a beautiful and healthy dish each week. You will then move to the Cheney Dining room to enjoy your meal with your fellow Chefs.
