Min 11/Max 16 Jedi Engineering LEGO® Supervisor: Amanda Heiman e Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects such as LEGO® X-Wings, R2 Units, Energy Catapults, Defense Turrets, and Settlements from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire! Min 11/Max 16 Code, Play, Learn - Makers Class Supervisor: Amanda Heiman Code Play Learn is excited to offer PDOP our Maker Class for kids. Each week students will make a project they can bring home. Our hands-on project approach allows kids to develop an understanding of how motors, circuits and energy work while building contraptions like an ArtBot, Lantern, and Zipline Rocket Ship. We will also create projects using our 3D carver from Inventables. Using Easel, an image based soware design tool, students can easily create designs that we can cut right in front of their eyes. Ridgeland Ave in Oak Park Min 6/Max 15 "Let's Build It" Engineering Supervisor: Amanda Heiman is class takes a hands-on approach to engineering, allowing students to directly engage with basic engineering concepts through a variety of fun and educational activities. Students will improve their problem solving, math, and physics skills - all while engaging in exciting building projects. Each day focuses on a specific area of engineering. e session will culminate in a testing of students' final projects. Each student will receive an award for their progress during the class.
